The Projects below are just some of our recent assignments. They have been chosen to give you a flavour of the range of work and types of people we work with.
Riverside Community Health Project
Development of a Business Plan and an evaluation framework for this community based voluntary organisation in the west end of Newcastle.
International Finance Corporation (IFC)
The design and development of a Good Practice Guide on the Evaluation of Business Enabling Environment Programmes. This was a global project funded by several agencies. This was undertaken with DAI www.dai.com and WISE Development www.wisedevelopment.com.
Mayo County Development Agency
This was an evaluation presenting recommendations for the future style and operation of an Irish on line community and business resource. This resource supports women, throughout Ireland, to start or grow their own businesses.
Microfinance Management Institute (MFMI)
Impact Assessment of a Micro Finance Development Program that was piloted in six international business Schools throughout the world. Rh reviewed those in the Philippines and India.
Action with Communities in Cumbria (ACT)
A business and governance review, which led to the development of a new strategic business plan. This project also involved mentoring support for the Chief Executive.
County Durham Business and Enterprise
Strategy Review and updating of the County’s Enterprise Strategy and an Evaluation of their Enterprise Advocate project. This was undertaken in partnership with the Bgroup.
Yorkshire Culture
Evaluation and outcome assessment of a social enterprise development programme ‘Modelling Sustainability for the Cultural Sector’. A Programme delivered by Yorkshire Culture in partnership with Arts Council Yorkshire and Sport England.
International Labour Office (ILO)
Development & testing of a training manual for Business Associations to support women entrepreneurs to grow their businesses. This work builds upon a previous research assignment for the ILO.
One North East /ENTRUST
This comprised mapping and reviewing the ‘enterprise journey’ undertaken by those on the 2008 New Entrepreneurship Scholarship Programme. This work was undertaken for Entrust in partnership with New Skills Consulting.
VONNE
Mapping and appraisal of the ITC use and support needs of front line and infrastructure voluntary and community sector organisations throughout the north east region.
East Midlands Development Agency EMDA
Assessment of women’s access to finance for small business start up and growth in the East Midlands region.
Newcastle City Council
Evaluation of the ‘Enterprising Newcastle’ Programme which delivers enterprise support to disadvantaged communities in Newcastle upon Tyne.
County Durham Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI)
Appraisal of a selection of Entrepreneurship Simulation Packages for start up client groups in the LEGI programme areas. Work was undertaken in collaboration with CDC enterprise agency.
The National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship
Evaluation of their International Entrepreneurship Educators Programme (IEEP) a programme piloted in 2007/2008 with 25 participants from throughout the UK.
